Step 3: First Session/Assessment

This is our chance to meet for the first time and get to know each other. Finding a trainer that you like and feel comfortable with is important for your success, so this meeting is as much for you to get to know me as it is for me to get to know you and what you are hoping to get out of personal training. I always encourage my clients to ask as many questions during the first meeting as they like, because I want them to feel comfortable with me and with the process.

We will also spend some time taking baseline fitness measurements. These measurements help me design workouts that are appropriate for you and your fitness level, and they help us measure your progress. We will periodically retake the assessments so that we can track your progress and make sure that what we are doing is moving you towards your goals.

Step 4: Start Training

All subsequent meetings will be dedicated to working out. I will check in with you at the beginning of each workout to see how things are going for you and if we need to make any adjustments, but otherwise at this point we are dedicated to spending the majority of our time together working out and trying to get you to your goals.
