Hello
Let me start by saying thank you for taking the time to visit my site and get to know a little about me. I hope you feel welcomed, and I hope we get the opportunity to work together to start achieving your fitness and health goals. I understand that getting started can be difficult or intimidating, and I want you to know that it is alway my goal to make you feel as comfortable as I can. I believe that movement and exercise can improve the quality of your life, and I would love to help you find joy in movement.
My Story
I grew up in a small town in Northern California, and as a child quickly realized my passion for sports and being outside. Movement and being active have been central in my life, and essential to my happiness and mental health. As a kid I found joy in playing competitive sports like volleyball, basketball, softball and swimming. As I have grown older my passion for movement has taken me to outdoor activities like mountain biking, trail running, cross country skiing and paddle boarding. I moved to Bellingham in 2011 to attend Western Washington University where I studied Kinesiology with an emphasis in Sport Psychology. After university I spent the next 8 as an aide at a physical therapy clinic working with patients and learning from physical therapists. I became a certified personal trainer in 2022, and started working with clients on building strength, stamina, and trying to incorporate more movement into their daily lives.
My ability to move and be active has given me many wonderful experiences and allowed me to see how incredibly beautiful the world can be. I fear that we live in a society that undervalues taking care of our bodies and minds and as a result so many people miss out on living their life to the fullest. My mission is to help as many people as I can live happy and healthy lives. While working at the physical therapy clinic I saw first hand what a lack of movement can do to a person both physically and mentally. It is so challenging to see individuals come in day after day in chronic pain that might have been preventable if only they had learned how to move and take care of their bodies. I want to help get individuals moving and keep them moving so they can live full lives. What sets me apart is that I have experience working with individuals from all walks of life. I have worked with athletes looking for a leg-up on their training, I have worked with individuals looking to lose weight and improve their health, and I have worked with individual who deal with chronic pain and illness on a daily basis. I feel well equipped to work with any individual who is looking to make improvements in their life, and take care of their body. My philosophy is to simply meet every individual where they are and work with them to set goals and achieve those goals.
If you are interested in working with me, or have any questions about how to get started please contact me so we can set up a time to meet and discuss your goals.
